Most of the horses we take in come to us because they have nowhere else to go. They are unhandled, mishandled, and/or have behavioral issues.
We take our time letting every horse adjust to being with us and learning as much as we can about them. Every horse is different and learns to trust at their own pace. Once we establish trust, we begin to teach our horses everything they need to know to be successful in their forever homes.
We take our time to learn as much as we can about potential adopters. That way we can create matches made in heaven. We require adopters to have significant horse experience in order to continue their rehabilitation and training once they are home. Adopters must foster first to ensure the best fit. We call this our "foster to adopt" program.
All of our horses are adopted with up to date core vaccines, coggins, dental, and hoof trims. They also receive microchips at the time of adoption.
After adoption, we keep in touch forever to provide support, advice, encouragement, and to ensure things are going great!
HOW TO APPLY TO ADOPT
Fill out and return to homeatlastfarmrescue@gmail.com
We will review your application and contact you if we have any horses who currently match what you are searching for. If we do not have any horses that match, we will hang on to your application for the future and ask you to monitor our social media and website for new horses.

3 year old mini horse gelding with a funny personality. He arrived as a stallion with little to no manners. He has since been gelded, vaccinated, has an up to date coggins & dental, and has been in our training program. He knows how to stand tied, load into a trailer, lead, pick up feet, and is starting to learn the basics of lunging. Calian is NOT for children and he is not for a beginner. He is young, green, and will require daily enrichment.
