Most of the little equines we take in come to us because they have nowhere else to go. They are unhandled, mishandled, and/or have behavioral issues.
We take our time letting every equine adjust to being with us and learning as much as we can about them. Every equine is different and learns to trust at their own pace. Once we establish trust, we begin to teach our equines everything they need to know to be successful in their forever homes.
We take our time to learn as much as we can about potential adopters. That way we can create matches made in heaven. We require adopters to have significant equine experience in order to continue their rehabilitation and training once they are home. Adopters must foster first to ensure the best fit. We call this our "foster to adopt" program.
All of our equines are adopted with up to date core vaccines, coggins, dental, and hoof trims. They also receive microchips at the time of adoption. And if they arrive with their testicles, they are always adopted without them!
After adoption, we keep in touch forever to provide support, advice, encouragement, and to ensure things are going great!
